Three Star Manhattan 2 oz Bourbon 2 oz Bloomery SweetShine Ginger
1 oz Bloomery SweetShine Black Walnut
Mercury 49
This drink, like its namesake, is reminiscent of the early bootleggers featuring traditional tastes yet taking a new side road to deliver happiness. One part Bourbon, 1 part Ginger SweetShine, ½ part fresh lemon juice. Pour everything over ice into a cocktail shaker then “Shake it like you stole it” for 15 seconds. Pour into an old fashioned glass filled with ice and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
Ginger Rogers
This is a new classic: Great tasting, great looking and can help with your dancing! Add 1½ parts Gin, 1 part Ginger SweetShine, ½ part fresh lemon juice with ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake vigorously for 15 seconds or until it seems awkward to shake further. Pour into an old fashioned glass filled with ice and garnish with a small stem of fresh lavender. Optional mix: replace the lemon juice with 1 part SweetShine Hard Lemonade. Cool, refreshing ahhhhh.
Jefferson Mule
This is a kickin’ mule. A favorite of ours here in Jefferson County, WV. Tangy, spicy, a bit sweet, very smooth. A versatile drink perfectly at home at cocktail parties, quilting bees, bachelor parties, jousting or fishing tournaments. One part vodka,1 part Ginger SweetShine,1 part fresh lime juice. Add all components with ice to a cocktail shaker. Shake it like you stole it for 15 seconds. Pour into a copper mug or Collins glass filled with ice, top with soda water and garnish with a lime wheel, however Real Men garnish with nothing. This is kickin’, not sissy!
Dark and Shiny
Rumor has it that Storm Chasers, that crazy bunch who chases tornadoes, look for the dark and shiny sky to lead them. This drink offers all of the excitement without the need for the extended insurance program. Two parts hard cider, 1 part spice rum, 1 part Ginger SweetShine served over ice in a tall tumbler or a travel mug if chasing tornadoes.
